Welcome

Dear Patient,

We would like to welcome you to Cancer Care of Western North Carolina (CCWNC).   CCWNC was established in 1990 and serves the communities in the WNC region as an outpatient treatment center for patients diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders.  Our board certified physicians are committed to providing quality oncology and hematology care that is based on research.  In 2010 the practice received certification from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the leading international organization for oncology care, for the high quality standards and care provided to its patient population.   CCWNC has maintained this certification, designating the practice as the only QOPI (Quality Oncology Practice Initiative) certified practice in Asheville and the surrounding WNC communities.

As we welcome you, we also recognize the stress you may be experiencing and we will strive to make your visits as pleasant and informative as possible.  While we aim to provide the highest quality of care for your disease, our team will also be concerned with your total well-being.   Your physician led team will include oncology trained support staff as well as an oncology certified nurse.

To better serve you during your visit, please bring a copy of your medication list (or your medications) and a list of your previous illnesses, surgeries, and allergies.  If possible, also bring a support person with you who can help you take notes and ask questions.

If you have questions, concerns, or comments at any time during your visit,, please do not hesitate to contact us.   Welcome to Cancer Care of WNC.

Our Mission Statement

“To provide safe, quality, accessible patient focused care to oncology hematology patients through Western North Carolina by incorporating the concept of whole patient care.”

Our focus on patient comfort is evidenced by our attention to detail in our facilities which was inspired by the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina and the local artists who celebrate the area in which we live.
