Trevor C. Austin, MD

Dr. Trevor C. Austin joined Cancer Care of WNC, PA in July of 2014.  Dr. Austin is a native of North Carolina.  He is delighted to return to his home state and cannot think of a greater privilege than serving the people of Western North Carolina. He is dedicated to providing the most advanced cancer therapies, utilizing state-of-the-art clinical trials and focused on mastering technology to promote patient care. He is known for providing honest and heartfelt patient-centered care.  He is passionate about ongoing growth and development of the cancer program in WNC.

Dr. Austin graduated with honors from East Carolina University with a BA in Chemistry. He received his medical doctorate from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. His Internal Medicine internship and residency were completed at the University of Kentucky. He completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Brown University in Rhode Island.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Austin loves spending time with his wife and two young children. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys exercising and being outdoors.

Memberships:  American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Association of Cancer Research (AACR).

Sub-Specialty:  Dr. Austin has a special interest in malignancies of the GI tract (colorectal, stomach, esophagus, liver, and pancreas) and melanoma.    He is available to see patients in Asheville and Sylva
