Sherrie LaLande, MSN, AOCNP, AGNP-C

Sherrie graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1994 with her Associates Degree in Nursing. She went on to work at Largo Medical Center on the cardiac/post open heart unit. In 1995 she began working in an outpatient, oncology, and treatment center. It is here that she found her passion. She went on to obtained her Oncology Certification in 1997. Sherrie continued to work as a chemotherapy nurse and nursing supervisor over the next 13 years.

In 2010, she graduated with honors from the University of South Florida’s Oncology Nurse Practitioner program, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Shortly thereafter, she sat for the national oncology exam and earned the title of Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner. She continued to work for Florida Cancer Specialist in her new role, as a Nurse Practitioner.

Sherrie went on to obtain her post-graduate certificate in Adult-Gerontology in 2017 from Florida Southern College before moving to Franklin with her family and joining Cancer Care of Western North Carolina.

She is a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology and American Society of Clinical Oncologist.
