Rachel E. Raab, MD

Dr. Raab joined Cancer Care of WNC in June 2015. She is dedicated to providing the most advanced cancer therapies, utilizing state-of-the –art clinical trials, and focused on providing personal and individualized care to each patient.  She has a special interest and expertise in breast and gynecologic malignancies and is passionate about bringing her knowledge and skills to Western North Carolina.  Dr. Raab sees patients at both Cancer Care of Western NC in Asheville and at Hope Women’s Cancer Center.

Dr. Raab received her medical doctorate from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont, a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in hematology oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.

Outside of work, Dr. Raab loves spending time with her husband and son and enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, reading, and traveling.
