Martin Palmeri, MD

Dr. Martin Palmeri joined Cancer Care of WNC, PA in August of 2013.  As a native of Western North Carolina, Dr. Palmeri is a compassionate and dedicated physician who believes in treating the whole patient and not just the disease. He is known for the time and attention he gives each of his patients while developing a cutting edge personalized treatment plan.  He is known for his kind smile and laugh.

Dr. Palmeri is a graduate of Duke University and received his medical doctorate at the Brody School of Medicine. He attended Dartmouth- Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire for his Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship. Following this, he practiced in Eastern Tennessee working at Regional Cancer Center.    He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Palmeri is a dedicated husband and father who is excited to raise his children in Asheville, his hometown.

Memberships:  American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Positions:  Board Member North Carolina Oncology Association (NCOA)

Sub-Specialty:  Dr. Palmeri has a special interest in malignancies of the GI tract (colorectal, stomach, esophagus, liver, and pancreas) and melanoma.  He provides care to patients in Asheville, Spruce Pine, and McDowell clinics.
