Carolyn Teeple-Pauly, RN, NP

Carolyn has been an Oncology Nurse Practitioner since 2006. She began her nursing career graduating from A-B Tech in 1982 as a LPN, becoming a RN in 1987 from Haywood County Technical College, and in 1993 she completed a Bachelor’s Degree from Medical College of Virginia. In 2006 she received a Master Of Science of Nursing Degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Carolyn has worked with cancer patients for over 22 years being involved in their care in the inpatient setting, bone marrow transplant unit, outpatient infusion center, nurse navigator, and as a Nurse Practitioner. Carolyn loves working with cancer patients and their families. She has a great deal of compassion and is a wonderful resource for patients and their families.

Carolyn worked as a staff nurse at Mission Hospital and has a great deal of valuable experience as a clinician in the Hematology Division at the University of Virginia. She is an active member in the Oncology Nursing Society and has been Oncology Nursing Certified since she first became eligible in1990. She plans to apply for the Advance Oncology Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Carolyn’s education and work experience has prepared her to be an excellent hematology-oncology clinician. Being a nurse practitioner is a role that incorporates everything she has ever wanted to do with nursing.

Carolyn is excited to continue her career in Asheville where she began her career and where her family is.
